Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Becklist mobile application (the "App") operated by Becklist ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By accessing or using Becklist, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Becklist is a task management application that helps users organize, plan, and track daily activities. The App offers both free and paid subscription features. Key features include task creation and scheduling, AI-powered plan generation, reminders, and task categorization.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Becklist. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or legal guardian's permission to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
Becklist does not require account creation or registration. Your data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and your data.
Free Tier: Becklist offers a free tier with limited features, including up to 10 active moments, basic scheduling, and the dark theme.
Becklist Pro: Additional features are available through a paid subscription ("Becklist Pro"), which may be offered as monthly or annual plans. Becklist Pro includes unlimited moments, AI Plan Mode, recurring tasks, all themes, smart reminders, and task history.
Payment: All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to Apple's terms of payment. Prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings or the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
Free Trial: If a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial expires. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
The AI Plan Mode feature uses third-party artificial intelligence services (Google Gemini API) to generate task suggestions and step-by-step plans based on your input. You acknowledge that:

The App, including its design, code, features, graphics, mascot, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Becklist and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the App other than a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it in accordance with these Terms.
You retain ownership of all content you create within the App (moments, notes, subtasks, etc.). Since this content is stored locally on your device, we do not access, collect, or claim any rights over your content.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy or reliability of any AI-generated content.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL BECKLIST, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.
Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty dollars ($50), whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Becklist and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
The App may integrate with or rely on third-party services (including Apple App Store, Google Gemini API, and RevenueCat). We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of these third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Upon termination, all locally stored data will be deleted when you uninstall the App.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
